Eight More Saturdays

Two more months people. Eight Saturdays. It’s coming.

Next Monday…SEC Media Days.

Some day in August…Fall Camp begins.

September 4th…we make Dabo cry.

In the meantime, let’s talk about Georgia’s fifth game: Arkansas. This year the crew from Fayetville makes the trek to Athens. Former UGA OL Coach Sam Pittman is still the man in charge in Arkansas. They were supposed to be the doormat of the SEC West last year. Instead, they were a little frisky. They gave us a scare for a half. They defeated Mississippi State the week after those Bulldogs were on top of the world. They should have defeated Auburn, but the refs gifted the Tigers with the victory. They defeated Ole Miss and Tennessee which were both solid teams. They lost to LSU and Mizzou by a combined total of five (5) points. They were a tough out for most of the year.

This year though, Arkansas plays on the road. They replace Feleipe Franks at QB, so whoever takes the mantle will face their first true road start in the SEC. No more COVID protocols limiting attendence. I’m guessing Sanford will be hopping. I still see a challenging game as Pittman’s squad has another year under their belts. Regardless, our talent should win out again and we should cruise to victory and cover the spread.

Hate to send former coach Pittman home with a loss, but it must be done.
